Windpower & Smart Hoist

After contact was established with the international company, one of the main players in the wind power industry, the development of a new version of the Smart Hoist began in close cooperation with them. Smart Hoist was updated and tailored to meet the requirements set by their service organization to obtain an optimal working situation in the nacelles.

Based on the standard version of the Smart Hoist, adaptations were made where, among other things, the space and existing beams in the nacelle as well as the lifting height at various work stages were taken into account.

- It was of course very exciting for us when we were contacted and given the opportunity to further develop Smart Hoist according to input directly from end users, says Anna Johansson, sales manager at Svero. It shows that we have come up with a lifting solution that is perfect for work in tight spaces and this applies not only in the wind power industry but everywhere where there is a shortage of space for lifting.

Smart Hoist is an aluminum beam trolley, with an integrated manual hoist, which Svero launched in 2021. The goals set during the development were to reduce the construction height and weight as much as possible. Another focus was that it should be easy to take along and easy to assemble. The result was this combined product, perfect for service and maintenance work. With a weight of only 10.1 kg and a build height of 150 mm, a patent was approved in May 2022.
