Award for sustainability work
In January 2023, the EU's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CRSD) entered into force, making it mandatory for around 50,000 companies operating in the European Union (EU) to comply with new sustainability reporting requirements. The directive spans all types of industries and sizes.
Svero is not covered by the criteria set for submitting a sustainability report according to CRSD, but has voluntarily chosen to do so. However, our stakeholders will demand from their partners that they meet the requirements and can prove it through the sustainability report. The work on the first report, for 2023, is now complete and Svero received an award for it at the Elmia Subcontractor fair in Jönköping.
Anders Hallåker accepted the award from Per Lindén at Scandic Sourcing, who also has been helpful in the work with the reporting.
- We see it as a very important step in the work with the environment and sustainability where we all have to be involved and take responsibility for stopping the now negative climate trend, says Anders Hallåker, CEO. We have made a conscious choice to carry out sustainability reporting even though we are not covered by the directive and we hope that more companies will choose to do so.
